Future Health Professionals Experience Simulation

October 10, 2019 - ISU, AHEC, and RHIC Host HOSA Event
Indiana State University was the scene for students from around the Wabash Valley to come and learn about the variety of available health professions at the University. the West Central Area Health Education Center (WCI-AHEC) and the RHIC partnered with ISU to host the Health Occupations Students of America (or HOSA for short).
Students had the opportunity to talk with a variety of current college students, faculty, and educators in several health disciplines including Nursing, Athletic Training, Social Work, and Applied Health Sciences.
The RHIC brought along two of the facility's telepresence robots that students drove through a serpentine drill to hone their skills for telemedicine.  They also had the opportunity to assess and resuscitate  neonatal simulators during the event.
