Wabash Valley Night Out 2020

September 19, 2019 - RHIC Partners to Make Community Safer

Organizations from across the Wabash Valley endured the summer heat on Thursday evening to support the local version of the National Night Out. This event, held annually brings together local fire, law enforcement, EMS, and healthcare groups to educate the public on making their communities safer and healthier. The RHIC has been apart of this event for the past five years. Kids line up for a chance to get in the ambulance to see what its like inside. With the fantastic help of students from Terre Haute's Indiana University School of Medicine, the kiddos were taught how to use a stethoscope to listen for the heartbeat and breath sounds of the RHIC's Pediatric Human Patient Simulator, HAL.
